Join our fantastic team in Albany, Auckland
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator – Technical Training position. In this role, you will provide a dedicated and expert focus on technical and compliance learning and development activities within the perimeter. You will ensure that all initiatives ensure compliance and competence in line with regulatory requirements and enable a continuous learning culture. This will involve implementing key Training objectives and developing, delivering and maintaining training activities and assessments for staff within the perimeter.
The successful candidates will work on key responsibilities like:
• Liaising with management to identify learning and development opportunities and requirements.
• Conducting learning needs analyses to identify compliance and development activities required within the perimeter.
• Creating training packages to align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Creating, maintaining and delivering development pathways for field-based staff.
• Developing refresher training in conjunction with SMEIs and training providers in line with business needs.
• Delivering learning and development strategies and initiatives.
• Coordinating compliance training and delivery of perimeter training activities.
• Maintaining the trainee programme.
• Coordinating NZQA unit standard-based training and assessment.
• Liaising with Connexis and other industry training organisations regarding trainee development.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop, mentor, and coach trainees.
• Maintaining the perimeter compliance records in accordance with industry and regulatory requirements.
• Establishing effective relationships with learning and development providers.
• Maintaining a database of all regulatory records.
Qualifications and Skills
• A diploma-level qualification in Learning and Development or higher
• A working knowledge of low/high voltage/power construction and maintenance sectors is preferred but not essential.
• A good knowledge of Electrical Workers Registration Board requirements.
• A sound understanding of New Zealand Qualification Authority frameworks.
• Experience in a highly regulated environment.
