In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you'll respond to network faults, assess and carry out service requests, and play a key role in restoring power safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will work on key responsibilties like:
• Responding to, assessing, and attending to all assigned service requests within service levels.
• Performing high voltage switching and isolation of plant.
• Carrying out repair and maintenance work to Omexom and customer standards.
• Identifying and reporting any unscheduled work to enable recording of network equipment that is not safe or functional.
• Ensuring that vehicles and allocated equipment are well presented and maintained.
• Working to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and Omexom operational and quality processes.
• Completing all required paperwork and records within specified timeframes.
Qualifications and Skills
• • NZQA or equivalent recognised qualification as a distribution Line Mechanic level 4
• EWRB registration as a Distribution Line Mechanic
• Three years’ experience in all aspects of electricity distribution.
• Class 1 NZ driver’s license or equivalent required, class 2 preferred
• Desirable to have recently held Faultman network warrants and Transpower switching
