About the Role
Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Project Engineer role just for you! In this position, you will co-ordinate the work schedules, key operations and processes for the project team, providing technically appropriate and cost-effective drawings, specifications, reports and engineering investigations and solutions to meet construction and tendering requirements, making a real impact.
• Providing technical support and assistance to estimators, maintenance and construction staff, subcontractors and project managers
• Supervising the technical aspects relating to procurement and subcontracting activities on specific projects.
• Working with field staff and project managers on improving compliance to company policies and procedures.
• Monitoring work productivity and project construction programme.
• Liaising with and coordinating subcontractors and their contract arrangements.
• Controlling project documentation and quality assurance processes (ITPs).
• Carrying out site inductions, site controls, and compliance with site QSE procedures.
• Controlling construction drawings, as built mark-ups and final as-built manuals.
• Controlling project financial matters to tender budget.
• Controlling and managing job variations with supervisors and main contractors.
• Understand and comply with your obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and all associated regulations, standards, and approved codes of practice.
• Comply with any reasonable instruction given to you by the company relating to health and safety
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelors or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• A trade qualification.
• A solid understanding of project contract conditions and specific requirements.
• Aptitude and experience in engineering designs
• Experience in project coordination.
• A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Hold a full Class 1 NZ driver’s licens
