About the Role

Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting position just for you! As the Gas and Oil Technician you will provide specialist expertise for the Wellington Electricity contract operations, making a real impact.

•    Managing cable hydraulic and gas pressure systems to ensure that optimal fluid or gas pressure levels are maintained as specified by the customer.
•    Ensuring all condition testing is completed to Omexom and customer standards and within required timeframes.
•    Maintaining records of all pressure readings, fluid or gas re-pressurisation, and condition testing reports.
•    Responding to all fluid or gas loss alarms within the required KPI/SLA timeframes.
•    Preparing monthly reports for fluid and gas use, including total annual use.
•    Complying and cooperating with any reasonable instruction, policy, statement, or procedure by the company to allow it to comply with its duties and obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
•    Meeting technical requirements of role plus have the capability to accurately complete all paperwork within required timeframes.

Qualifications and Skills

•     Specialist training in Gas and Oil cable systems.
•    Certification or evidence of technical jointing skills and WTC to match the joint work to be undertaken.
•    Sound understanding of technical, regulatory and safety issues related to the electrical supply industry.
•    Hands-on experience.
