About the Role

Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Business Applications Specialist role just for you! In this position, you’ll be the "go-to" specialist for our applications and integration platforms that keep our field teams moving, making a real impact. You will support and continuously improve our business-critical platforms and integration services - keeping them reliable, scalable, and user-centric. 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Own end‑to‑end BAU application support, including monitoring, issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis for system and integration issues, implementing preventative fixes.
  • Manage and execute UAT and integration testing, ensuring traceability to requirements and effective defect management.
  • Produce and maintain clear documentation across requirements, solution design, integrations and testing.
  • Deliver user training and adoption support aligned to operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely issue resolution and high‑quality deliverables.
  • Manage applications and integrations across SAP, SAP FSM, SAP CPQ, ArcGIS and related middleware, ensuring reliable, process‑aligned data flows.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in a technical applications or systems role, with a focus on enterprise systems and integrations.
  • Hands‑on integration experience (APIs, middleware) and confidence diagnosing complex cross‑platform issues.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data querying, workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) and the Microsoft suite.
  • Experience with SAP (including FSM and/or CPQ) and ArcGIS is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with event‑driven architecture and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka) is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills; comfortable engaging diverse stakeholders and users.
  • Able to work autonomously, balance BAU and project delivery, and prioritise based on impact and urgency.
  • Experience in the electricity sector or field‑based technology is an advantage.
  • ITIL Foundation and/or SAP certifications are beneficial.
