About the Role
Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Senior HSE Advisor role just for you! In this position, you’ll ensure compliance and continuous improvement to Health, Safety and environmental standards and performance, by providing an advisory, monitoring and support service to the Business Units operations, making a real impact.
• Participating in and responding to the HSE directives of the BU manager or the Perimeter Health, Safety and Environmental Manager.
• Supporting the activities of the HS safety representatives in conjunction with BU managers.
• Promoting high standards of Health, Safety and Environmental attitudes and behaviours.
• Recommending and supporting the BU manager in following up on/implementing corrective actions.
• Ensuring the accuracy of incident data in company/client systems for month/year end internal and external reports.
• Leading the BU HSE matters and influencing good practice and a strong HSE culture across the business working towards highly effective worker participation practices.
• Ensuring the BU HSE operational risks are identified, communicated and managed.
• Working with the BU key stakeholders to ensure the HSE relevant Omexom Management System requirements and HSE strategy initiatives are implemented and practiced to a high standard.
• Ensuring HSE technical control alignment with regulatory requirements, client requirements, and consistency of good practice deployment across the Business Unit.
• Supporting BU Manager and supervisors to ensure ACC AEP and worker management requirements are met across the BU.
• Understand and comply with your obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and all associated regulations, standards, and approved codes of practice.
• Comply with any reasonable instruction given to you by Omexom relating to health and safety
Qualifications and Skills
• National Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) in Health, Safety and Environmental (required)
• Engineering or Trade qualification (preferred)
• A working knowledge in the BU’s technical specialisation is preferred but not essential.
• A working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and its application in the workplace.
• Site Safe training
• Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
• Sound business writing and verbal communication
• Strong ability to prioritise and multitask
• Professional, proactive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
• HSE Investigation training.
• Environmental compliance training/knowledge preferred.
• Audit training. (Required)
