About the Role

Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Estimator role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to carry out estimating services to support the Business Unit Plan and achieve Omexom's market share of work at a planned profit margin, making a real impact.

  • Familiarity with and adherence to tendering procedures, including approval to tender, bid/no bid & supplier / subcontractor pricing processes.
  • Development of estimate programmes / timetables.
  • Development of bid strategy and value engineering / innovation / cost optimisation options.
  • Ensuring all client contracts / terms and conditions, including insurance and bond provisions, are reviewed by the Commercial Manager.
  • Development of cost estimates, including cashflows from first principles and / or valid historical data, accurately scoping and quantifying the elements of the works being estimated and identify relevant productivities for the area being estimated.
  • Critically reviewing estimate components compiled by other contributors, including suppliers, subcontractors and consultants.
  • Complying and cooperating with any reasonable instruction, policy, statement or procedure by the company to allow it to comply with its duties and obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Omexom integrated management system.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Electrical Practising Licence or similar
  • Knowledge of the electrical industry with experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure and maintenance sectors
  • Knowledge of electrical regulations, industry requirements, contracting procedures and contract law
  • Computer Skills – Microsoft suite (including Excel, Word and Project) and Candy estimation software
