About the Role
Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Financial Analyst role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to make a real impact.
- Support the Chief Financial Officer, Financial Controller, Financial Business Partners, Business Unit Managers and Perimeter Directors in preparing the Monthly results, Quarterly forecasts, strategic plans, and annual budgets.
- Providing support to the Business’s in the provision of financial data and reporting.
- Developing and implementing management accounting reporting to the Business.
- Developing and implementing methods to mitigate commercial and/or financial risk.
- Developing, implementing, and auditing internal business processes and procedures.
- Undertaking training and mentoring of company staff in financial analytics and Omexom NZ financial requirements.
- Liaising with internal and external parties in a professional manner.
- Understand and comply with all Omexom health and safety policies and procedures.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and reasonable care that your acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other persons.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or equivalent qualification in accountancy, Business Studies, finance, or commerce and / or extensive relevant work experience.
- A sound exposure to and experience in management accounting relating to financial contract administration in the utility, infrastructure or construction industries.
- Sound research and analytical skills.
- A sound understanding of business processes, including tendering and project/service contract management.
- An understanding of contract and commercial law and standard contracts used in the sector.
- The ability to review and understand utility, industrial, construction and transport sector contracts and to recognise areas of potential risk.
- High levels of negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of comfort interacting with internal and external customers and service providers.
- A high level of written and oral English literacy.
