About the Role
Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Gas Distribution Fitter role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to provide a gas distribution trades service, covering the full range of Gas Distribution services expected of a qualified distribution fitter.
The successful candidate will work on key responsibilities like:
• Performing natural gas pipeline maintenance and construction work to client specifications.
• Responding to emergency faults and leakage on the gas network within planned response times.
• Carrying out emergency response activities including participation in the gas division 24-hour call roster.
• Installing mains and service pipelines, as per job instructions and specifications, and meeting current regulations and standards.
• Ensuring optimal reliability and performance of the client’s plant
Qualifications and Skills
• A minimum of COC Pipe layer and working towards a Level 3 National Certificate in network construction, or a relevant equivalent New Zealand Gas Industry qualification.
• A current New Zealand Gas Industry Certificate of Competence.
• Hands-on experience in the construction, repair and maintenance of natural gas pipelines and associated equipment to industry standards.
• A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements pertaining to the carrying out of gas distribution work.
