The Technical Coordinator will manage assigned projects to specification, within budget and within agreed timeframes, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard of quality in an efficient & safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and Plan: Design HV & LV overhead infrastructure network replacements, collaborating with Project Managers, Design staff, Customers, and the technical team.
  • Resource Management: Schedule and coordinate field resources to ensure project success.
  • Leadership: Guide and support field staff to maintain top-notch productivity and health and safety standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist Project Managers in crafting inspection and test plans, job packs, and commissioning documentation tailored to client needs.
  • Technical Excellence: Ensure all testing and commissioning of network equipment, including power transformers, OH switches, OH lines, and cables, meeting the required specifications for safe and reliable operation.
  • Safety First: Implement the company health and safety policy, ensuring the well-being of yourself and others.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage invoicing for job-specific plant, equipment, labour, and materials on a weekly/monthly basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in technical coordination within the electrical industry, focusing on overhead network infrastructure (HV and LV).
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects, especially those involving fieldwork on network infrastructure.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
  • Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the electrical sector, particularly for HV and LV networks.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse technical data and provide insights for decision-making, with a focus on overhead electrical network infrastructure projects.
  • Engineering Insight: Knowledge of electrical engineering principles related to HV and LV network infrastructure is a plus.
