About the Role

Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Electrician role just for you! In this position, you’ll be covering the full range of electrical services expected of a qualified electrician, making a real impact.

  • Connecting and disconnecting fixed wired appliances or equipment, testing and inspecting supply voltage.
  • Installing power supplies for construction sites and performing electrical tests in accordance with current regulations and standards.
  • Performing electrical tests in accordance with current regulations and standards, and completing required documentation.
  • Installing cable support systems, as per job instructions and specifications, meeting current regulations and standards.
  • Explaining appliance operations to clients and completing all necessary documentation.
  • Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, including use of PPE, reporting incidents, and maintaining equipment safety.
  • Setting a personal example on all matters of health and safety and participating in BU worker participation practices.
  • Collaborating with technicians, subcontractors, and project managers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A current NZ electrical practising licence (registration required).
  • A positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of industry regulations and standards.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Hands-on experience in commercial, industrial or high voltage electrical work.
