•    3 vacancies, full-time, permanent contract with a minimum of 40 hours guaranteed per week 
•    Monday – Friday 
•    $45.00 - $50.00 per hour (based on experience) 

About the Role

Omexom is looking for an experienced Power Systems Technician to support our growing Building Maintenance Solutions team. This role is focused on delivering high-voltage testing, commissioning, and maintenance across critical industrial and infrastructure sites — from manufacturing plants to substations and energy facilities. We focus on delivering comprehensive, turnkey solutions in the medium-voltage range of 11kV to 33kV, ensuring reliability and efficiency for critical infrastructure. With expertise across the entire project lifecycle, from design, construction, and commissioning, we provide tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

  • Providing expertise on testing, commissioning, repairs and maintenance across the power distribution network
  • Fault finding analysis of substation and control systems
  • Ensure optimal reliability and performance of plant and equipment
  • Install and commission substation and other medium voltage protection systems  Produce quality assurance documentation
  • Complying and co-operating with any reasonable instruction, policy, and procedure by the company to allow the company to comply with their duties and obligations under the Health and Safety at Work act

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical Supply (Power Technician) level 5 or similar
  • EWRB registration with current electrical registration
  • Must have three years hands-on experience in power systems and electrical protection work to industry standards
  • Knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Sound computer skills
  • High voltage protection system commissioning experience and confidence to make decisions autonomously
