About the Role
Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Defect Management Coordinator role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to , you will plan, coordinate and manage scheduled maintenance programmes to ensure completion in line with agreed timeframes and standards, making a real impact.
In this role you will:
• Monitor and manage the Distribution inbox, responding to internal/external queries in line with MUSA KPIs.
• Work closely with Programme Managers and key stakeholders to ensure objectives are met, advising management on critical matters and implementing decisions effectively.
• Developing, evaluating, and negotiating amendments to project plans, maintenance programmes, and services,
• Create and escalate defects, determine corrective actions, and manage "Fix on site" and "Blue Tag pole" notifications, including quality checks and invoicing.
• Produce job packs and support the business with fill-in work through information gathering, quality assurance, and invoicing.
• Own project financials, including forecasting, accruals, and purchase order updates.
• Order materials, gather quotes, and arrange necessary work approvals (e.g. traffic management, LV/HV permits).
• Schedule and track resources and maintenance activities in line with business protocols.
• Collaborate with Programme Managers and stakeholders to meet objectives and support critical decision-making.
• Provide accurate, timely reporting and data analysis to track program outcomes and progress.
• Ensure work meets customer expectations and standards, and that all systems (Omexom/customer) are updated.
• Support invoicing accuracy and liaise with clients and auditors regarding maintenance activities.
• Assist Programme Manager with ad hoc tasks and reporting as required.
Qualifications and Skills
• Strong knowledge of the electrical industry with experience in reading and reviewing network drawings.
• Proven planning, organisation, and project coordination skills.
• Problem-solving ability with a focus on maintaining workflow and decision-making under uncertainty.
• Collaborative, process-driven, and professionally confident with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Office, and scheduling tools.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the electrical industry, including significant programme/ project co-ordination in a complex environment OR
• Relevant tertiary qualification at Diploma level or higher plus at least 1 year of relevant work experience in the electrical industry.
Full New Zealand Drivers licence required.
