About the Role

Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Power Systems Technician role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to provide specialist technical power systems and electricity protection, making a real impact.

  • Come join our amazing Building Maintenance Solutions Business Unit in Auckland
  • Providing expertise on testing, commissioning, repairs and maintenance across the power distribution network
  • Fault finding analysis of substation and control systems
  • Ensure optimal reliability and performance of plant and equipment
  • Install and commission substation and other high voltage protection systems
  • Produce quality assurance documentation
  • Complying and co-operating with any reasonable instruction, policy, and procedure by the company to allow the company to comply with their duties and obligations under the Health and Safety at Work act

Qualifications and Skills

  • National Certificate in Electrical Supply (Power Technician) level 5 or similar with two years or more post qualifications experience
  • EWRB registration with current electrical registration
  • Knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Sound computer skills
  • High voltage protection system commissioning experience and confidence to make decisions autonomously
  • A valid full class 2 New Zealand driver's licence preferred
